Communities Inshore Fisheries Alliance
Communities Inshore Fisheries Alliance is a fishing focused and cross industry and community based organisation which was established in early 2017 as a policy and action group with the main aim of addressing the economic and physical needs of the Scottish Inshore Fisheries and its associated communities and businesses. CIFA proactively sets out to advocate, develop, support and celebrate fishing and fishing related activities.
About CIFA
We are an Alliance established in 2017 to primarily advocate, develop, support and celebrate Scotland's inshore fishing communities. CIFA was initially established from an acknowledgement and grassroots movement of a number of largely inshore fishing associations who understood that the time was right and the opportunity was real to improve our fisheries.

If you are an individual or a member of a community group supportive of sustainable fishing and fishing communities please get in touch. Family members, local community groups and members of the public who support sustainable fishermen and quality seafood, as well as thriving communities in socio-economic terms, are welcome to apply for membership of the Alliance. CIFA will be back in touch within 5 days.
